LOCTITE LB 8040 Freeze & Release (310g) is a fast-acting mineral oil lubricant designed to free rusted, corroded, and seized parts through a unique shock-freezing process. 

Key Features and Performance
According to manufacturer data from Henkel Adhesives, this product utilizes "shock-freezing" to facilitate disassembly: 
Thermal Shock: It instantly cools metal parts down to -43°C, causing the layer of rust to develop microscopic cracks.
Capillary Action: These cracks allow the lubricating ingredients to wick directly into the rust layer by capillary action.
Protection: After release, it leaves a thin film that continues to lubricate and helps prevent future rust.
Efficiency: Seized assemblies can typically be dismantled after only 1–2 minutes of penetration time.
