A Suzi Coil Clip Lock (often branded as CLIPLOCK) is a specialized safety coupling system designed to ensure a secure, two-stage connection between truck and trailer air brake lines. It is specifically engineered to prevent accidental decoupling and to provide drivers with a clear visual confirmation that the connection is fully engaged.

Key Features and Benefits
Two-Stage Locking Mechanism: Beyond the industry-standard connection, it adds a secondary stainless steel locking clip and groove for extra security.
Visual Lock Indicator: Many models, such as those from GP Truck Products, feature a bright yellow cable attached to the clip. If the cable is dangling, it alerts the driver that the coupling is not properly locked.
Prevention of Incomplete Connections: If the male and female parts are not fully joined, the coupling collar partially covers the groove, preventing the locking clip from being inserted.

Standard "Suzi Coil" (or "Susie") air hoses are designed to stretch and retract as a truck turns, but they can be prone to unintentional disconnection if not coupled perfectly. The Clip Lock system addresses this by adding a physical barrier that must be manually engaged, significantly reducing the risk of a trailer losing its air supply and triggering emergency brakes unexpectedly while in motion.
