UNIFIED FINE TAPS UNF

Sutton UNF taps are premium industrial-grade threading tools designed for cutting fine Unified National Fine (UNF) internal threads in blind or through holes. • Taper Tap: The most gradual lead, ideal for starting the thread easily in an untapped hole.
• Intermediate Tap: Used right after the taper tap to further cut the thread to the proper depth.
• Bottoming Tap: Has a very flat lead used at the very end to cut threads to the absolute bottom of a blind hole.

• 1/4" (Major Diameter): This is the nominal outside diameter of the thread, measuring 1/4 of an inch (or 6.35 millimeters). It tells you how wide the bolt or the threaded hole is.
• 28 (Threads Per Inch / TPI): This indicates that there are exactly 28 individual thread crests per inch along the length of the bolt.
