Key Specifications & Tips
- Material: Grade 304 stainless steel offers excellent corrosion protection but is not recommended for critical high-strength applications where Grade 12.9 or socket head cap screws are necessary.
- Magnetism: While 304 is largely non-magnetic, fasteners may show slight magnetism due to work-hardening during manufacturing.
- Installation: To prevent thread galling (seizing), it is recommended to tighten nuts slowly and apply a suitable lubricant like molybdenum disulphide or graphite.
- Measurement: Fastener length is measured from under the head to the end of the screw for button head styles
